This is a brilliant sequel that I found very enjoyable but not as good as The Bourne Identity. It is a non-stop action packed thrill ride that had a lot of intense and exciting action in it. The Bourne Supremacy is one of the few films that has a early twist as well as a late one that builds up the excitement for The Bourne Ultimatum. The entire trilogy is hard to understand. I find it to be the most complex franchise ever; even more than The Terminator and The Godfather. This was the most emotional one of the trilogy.
Matt Damon IS Jason Bourne and it's that simple. His performance is amazing! Matt is one of those actors who doesn't really fit in the action genre but the trilogy proved he only fits in action when playing Jason Bourne. Damon is most remembered for Bourne and he totally deserves to be. Bourne starts to become more dangerous and more serious after a tragedy occurs and effects the series. I think that pretty much every single moment of this film is ripped off by 22nd James Bond film Quantum Of Solace. Franka Potente was good as Marie. Her life becomes in danger especially because she is living with boyfriend Jason and he is in danger as well. Julia Stiles was brilliant as Nicky who is a companion to Bourne who helps him. She was almost as good as Matt Damon was.
Paul Greengrass makes this a better made film than The Bourne Identity does but I just enjoyed the story in The Bourne Identity more. What I really love about Greengrass' work on The Bourne Supremacy is he doesn't overload or over-do it so to speak; like he doesn't try too hard. The script makes this film even more complex than it already is.
The Bourne Supremacy is another really good Bourne film but is the worst of the trilogy. It is an action-packed, intense yet confusing thrill ride that I enjoyed watching a lot.
