a note on these films: Most of these french language-films are otherwise out of print and not available outside of this very well-priced collection which has a decent video transfer. And while you may be thinking - "Oh.. these films are too old to enjoy Catherine Deneuve...." Please remember that she made "Dirty Money, Un Flic (Jean-Pierre Melville) in 1972, La Chamade in 1968, and Bell Du Jour was made in 1967. So almost half of these films were made right in her "prime".
More recently (my favorite work she's done - she was busy!); She was the supporting actress for Björk in the film Dancer in the Dark (2000); and while she wasn't the young & luminous "Belle" - she still was certainly full of spirit and character & very beautiful.. the Catherine Deneuve we've all fallen in love with over the years.
