Beetlejuice (not Beetle Juice)

Ah...Geffen and Tim Burton. What a combination. Throw in the music of Danny Elfman AND Michael Keaton at what might possibly be his finest (definitely his most memorable role!).....and you have one of the best movies out there.

Okay---this movie ALSO has Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Sylvia Sidney, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O'Hara (and Robert Goulet!), among others.

This movie came out in 1988, and Alec Baldwin is so young, it's hard to believe it's him in this film:)

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it, and my enjoyment and appreciation of this movie definitely has not decreased over time.

The cast grouping is perfect. Michael Keaton's character (Beetlejuice, of course) isn't even the most bizarre character in the entire movie.

The dinner party scene is one of my favourite scenes in the entire movie (I don't like to include spoilers if it can be helped).

The movie isn't scary (except, perhaps, to a younger child). It is dark, funny, gross, and also contains some colourful language at times.
