Review of Sailor Moon S

In my opinion, the best of the Sailor Moon series. The writing is tighter, the characters are more realistic, and the powers used in this one are much cooler than in the first 2 seasons. It starts off much like how the series typically goes, but throw in the mysterious Sailor Senshi Uranus and Neptune, and you make it a bit more complex. Chibi-Usa, an initially despised character to Western audiences, is at her best in this season, because: 1. She's a Senshi-in-training, and 2. She makes friends with another character, Hotaru Tomoe, who is not only the daughter of the crazy Dr. Tomoe, but Mistress 9, which makes things complicated not only for Chibi-Usa, but for the rest of the Inner Senshi, who occasionally clash with Uranus and Neptune over what the right thing is to do. This season gives us the message that cynicism almost never works in a situation, which is good to me, and I dare not spoil what happens in the final parts of it, but let me assure you that it all works pretty well.
