I love the mindfuck in this movie, thrillers like this always give me this wonderful creepy and uncomfortable feeling. I was really tired when I watched this, but the thrill kept me awake.
I wouldn't say that the story is something I've never seen before in movies, but the message made up for the overused topics - such as stalking. To be fair, the movie is from 1997 and I don't really know if stalking was as overused back then as it is now. And the story also had a twist, an unexpected and surprising one.
What I really loved about this movie was the more or less happy ending - at least for the main character.
There is no tragic end that left me confused, sad or even angry that it turned out like this. I liked this ending so much, because Mima was in some kind of victim role the whole time and in the end she really grew out of it and got self-confident. That's what I call a happy ending.
I could write about this movie for ages, but I think I should come to an end.
