This is one of those films that can simultaneously do things without throwing it at your face. Humour, witty storyline, but still very engaging and entertaining with thrilling action sequences.
There is still a dark undertone to the film and poignant scenes scattered throughout, but I found the highlight of the personal issues extremely fascinating. The characters were all appealing despite their personality, all having a degree of which we can connect with them - Daniel Craig can be proved as someone with Bond status with surprising emotional depth. It is therefore still true that you can have such a thing called a rare 'action masterpiece'.
