Review of Dwight Manfredi

Dwight “The General” Manfredi is the central character of Tulsa King, played by Sylvester Stallone. Paramount+ describes him as a New York Mafia capo who serves 25 years in prison before being exiled to Tulsa and starting a new criminal operation.

As a character, Dwight works as a villain protagonist / gangster protagonist because the story follows his criminal activities while also showing his personal code, loyalty, relationships, and softer side. Critics have particularly highlighted Stallone's charisma and the contrast between Dwight's intimidating Mafia persona and his humor and vulnerability.

His history also makes him an interesting fugitive/criminal character for your Listal classification: he is a convicted killer and career criminal, but the series reveals that he took the blame for a murder to protect members of his crime family.
