Review of Death Rattle Boogie

Gods are bored ", they proclaim the opening of Their latest album (released on the label staff Hellsquad) New Zealanders Datsuns. And if the gods are bored, imagine how it can be ordinary mortals ... Fortunately, every so often, there's so hard. pulverize That boredom, even if only for half an hour, but it works as a good analgesic When the head will burst: allow you to move forward.
The Datsuns, born from That cauldron delirious and brilliant at the same time That was the revival of garage rock of late nineties and early millennium, as to the fifth work in the long run and it is clear from the first track as little has changed in Their sound - and Their way of thinking / present Their Music. No concession to the coveted "evolution" (ace in the hole like a boomerang poisonous cure for many bands "gender"), but consistency and loyalty to a sound That bastard always mixes garage rock, rock zeppeliniano, Sixties psychedelia and hard rock primordial. All with a touch typical Northern European, perpetually poised between the tamarrata to stand and stab lethal, certainly accentuated by supervision, During production, Nicke Andersson, former Hellacopters.

Alluded to Led Zeppelin, just above, That in some way - and bizarrely, if you will - REMAIN important to the tutelary deities Datsuns (not for nothing That Their second album was produced by John Paul Jones, the team's own airship), which However can balance a Certain philology Seventies with outbursts lo-fi/garagiste and drug inserts rock (rock and psychedelic drug addict) creepy. Forgive me parenthesis free to Lester Bangs, but the image comes to mind That is That of a series of outtake Zeppelin Rearranged by a handful of dangerous gibbons drunk potato schnapps. And, what may seem repulsive the idea at first, I assure you That the result is entertaining, engaging and rock'n'roll, Stuff That moves the head and everything else That frees the mind from thoughts and - if in case you have a guitar at home - makes me want to grattarne the strings in plastic poses.

"Everything changes, nothing changes" Tomasi di Lampedusa wrote in "The Leopard" and this fits like a glove reflection for the Datsuns. Demonstrating the courage to persevere in Their choices, as well as a trade undeniable. Of course, if you are looking for a hard rock'n'roll content, intellectual depth, experimentation and avant-garde poetry, for sure you will be very badly with Datsuns, since they are the very antithesis of everything. On the other hand, if what you crave is rocking and rolling, this is your lucky day, Because in "Death rattle boogie" There are 14 tracks atto reconcile all lovers of rock blood, breaking down barriers and distrust between genres and Subgenres.
Say goodbye to the shock on the road to Damascus, but fortunately there is still room for groups and Work That grind rock without asking too many questions and - most importantly - without getting lost in drifts weird.
