Review of Ice Cream Man

As I write this film has an IMDB score of 3.9 and I can understand that. If you've seen any of the teasers or trailers for this then you should know what you're letting yourself in for. This is an unashamed,blatant gore and schlockfest. It's over the top and revels in its sillyness. You can't take this seriously,you're not meant to, just go with the flow and let the crazyness wash over you and don't think about the plot.
Ah yes,the plot. There's not a lot of it and you get it all in one exposition dump that doesn't last too long .Just don't think too deeply about it or it will unravel before your eyes. The same holds true for the denouemont, perhaps even more so and this makes the finale really predictable.
When you drive home you will go through the who,what,when and how of the movie and realize that it makes no sense and has plenty of plot holes. But did you really go to watch a film like this for its detailed plot? You probably went for the schock gore and sillyness and it excels at that.
