Critique of a Flawed Narrative

The characters do not survive serious psychological scrutiny. Each character is reduced to an archetype whose underlying psychological layer is merely an empty explanation based on trauma and dark backstories that fail to add any genuine, organic complexity. Their interactions become cloying and cliché; they are neither impactful nor memorable beyond their visual designs. The rules of the circus make no sense; there are no reasons or explanations capable of supporting a world-building so unstable that it alters its own rules whenever the script requires it. Numerous elements and scenes are squandered as filler to fuel theory baiting within the community, rather than delivering a clear and well-written story. The protagonist is the flattest character in the entire series—lacking charisma, complexity, and backstory—and is sidelined by the deuteragonist, a thug struggling with gender identity whose background is not handled organically throughout the show. Instead, it is saved for an explosive climax with cowardly foreshadowing that ultimately feels like an addition driven by the author's personal projections rather than something aligned with the series' core themes. It is pretentious, devoid of substantial thematic message and plagued by a pervasive moral laxity among the characters from start to finish.
