Review of Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women

Director Roger Corman acquired the rights to the Soviet-era Russian sci-fi movie Planeta Bur, and handed it over to his up-and-coming protégée, Peter Bogdanovich. Bogdanovich then dubbed in English dialogue (including the laughable name change of the Russian control computer from "Маша" to "Marsha), and added footage of B-movie actress Mamie Van Doren and lad-mag glamour models as shell-bra and tight leggings-wearing "mermaids" (including scenes filmed in an aquarium!). It bombed. Once relegated to late-night UHF horror shows, it can be viewed today on numerous streaming sites, like YouTube.
