The Most Thrilling Drama

(24) Twenty Four -TV series- has gained an outstanding popularity since its first debut in 2001.

I cannot deny my disinterest in guns, death, blood and all, but upon watching the first three episodes of the first season, I could not help myself but get addicted to watching the rest. Afterward, I began to download torrents for each episodes of every season immediately after being aired. That is beside buying the DVDs once released.

Each season kept me hooked. This is my personal ranking of the seven seasons in a scale from 1-7 (one being the best), which I have based on A. Plot, B. Characters, C. Direction and D. Storyline and Sub-Stories:

1. Season 5
2. Season 4
3. Season 7
4. Season 1
5. Season 2
6. Season 6
7. Season 3

In my opinion, these are the seven reasons why 24 deserves attention:

1. Kiefer Sutherland
After his amazing and memorable roles in 'Bad Boys' 'Young Guns' 'Flatliners' and 'A Time to Kill', Kiefer Sutherland, though performing the bad guy ever since, proved he was capable of displaying the goodness of Jack Baur character with ease.

2. Cliffhangers
It has caused me to be on the edge of my seat everytime I watch. "Jack Baur will be killed? Will they succeed? The villain got the evident! Damn...what they're supposed to do now? Don't end the episode now!! I want to know!" The episodes raise tension and adrenaline and they stir feelings according to each situation.

3. The complicated, yet well-formed Plot
The Plot was well-written for each episode over the enitre season and towards the seven seasons released so far.

4. Cast
The Cast portrayed the geniuine characteritics of each character in the show. They were very convincing. You tend to hate the bad guys and feel sorry for the victims. At times, you just shake your head in disbelief over the idiotic mishap one of the characters had pulled.

5. Uniqueness of the Genre
The length of each episode is one hour and the whole season is 24 hours, which is something unique and original.

6. Direction of the Show
Jon Cassar has demonstrated his talents in directing the show in a way to keep you hooked from the first hour towards the end of 24-hour period.

7. Jack Baur
Jack Baur is one of the few characters that we can call 'Unforgettable'. He's cool, he's good, he's fast, he's loyal, and he's Kiefer.

I think 24 deserves the attention and fame.
