An average movie

Honestly, beforehand, I thought the whole thing could be pretty cool. Indeed, the concept was basically to provide some kind of dark funny satire on the ancient tale of Red Riding Hood. Unfortunately, the whole thing was fairly disappointing. First of all, the animation was not really good, even rather ugly, especially compared to the work of Dreamworks and Pixar. Furthermore, even though it was a nice concept, the story didn't hold up very well. Indeed, they try to convince us that this version of this tale is really smart and clever but it wasn't. As a result, I'm not sure that young kids will get the 'advanced' jokes and I think the whole thing would be still too childish for grown-ups. After a while, the jokes were rather annoying than funny and the whole thing felt like a missed opportunity. Even though this movie was far from being a huge box-office success, somehow, they thought they should make a sequel (which I haven't seen yet) but the end-result seemed even more underwhelming.To conclude, I have seen worse animated movies but this one was still pretty ugly, not really funny and, eventually, not really worth a look, in my opinion.
