Review of Frankenstein

This movie was absolutely beautiful. At first I thought they needed to shave off about 30 minutes, but I take it all back. It built the world and characters perfectly. The cinematography, special effects, costumes, make up, etc, it was all spectacular. Mia Goth's outfits were perfect, gorgeous, and ethereal. The story wasn't what I was expecting and it was heartwarming and heartbreaking. The dialogue was poetic, sharp, poignant, beautiful and breath taking.

As for the acting. When my son told me Jacob Elordi was going to play the monster I was squealing with excitement. He is my absolute favorite young actor, I think he's absolutely brilliant. Timothee chalamet might be proclaiming he wants to be the best and wants to be one of the greats, Elordi is just out here quietly doing it. He did not disappoint. Even through all the make up, his humanity and depth of emotion came through.
Oscar Isaac is great as expected and really made me hate him! Mia Goth was a big surprise to me. I had not seen her in anything, and she pleasantly surprised me. Guillermo also made her character a wonderful addition to the film, and not just a shell of a character like so many female roles of this kind can be
