Jennifer's body is not a great film. It has a lot of good things in it, though, and by god does it stick it's landing. It's got a lot of messaging, the biggest issue being that those messages can get very mixed up in it's self. It's certainly campy, though, and that's part of what makes it really fun! if you're not going into it for the sake of campy, thriller, tragicomedy, then you will be unhappy. That being said, it's also not a thoughtless piece. It's treatment of Jennifer is something very special; if a little too much, at times. Certainly though, it reminds me of teenage relationships that I've had, and the hard parts of growing up and watching someone go from someone you know, to someone totally evil. That also being said, it does feel pretty crispy in the thoughts of not letting that totally lead your head, because then you become an evil jailed up murderous demon; and also gives you room to accept when and why you have already been a jailed up murderous demon with that ending sequence.
Also; Holy shit I loved that soundtrack. Mwah Mwah Mwah.
