To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but, since I have a weak spot for Hilary Swank and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, unfortunately, even if it was to be expected, it turned out to be a weird convoluted modern version of ‘Fatal Attraction’. Seriously, they didn’t even try to come up with an original title. Where should I start? Right from the start, the damned thing looked so cheap and I basically instantly regretted starting watching the damned thing at all. Another issue was that, even though I have nothing really against Michael Ealy, I have to admit that he is an attractive guy with his deep-blue eyes, but I also think he is a terribly bland and boring actor with barely any skills whatsoever. It was such a difference when Hilary Swank showed up. Indeed, even if Swank spent most of her career in such lame movies, even after winning 2 Academy Awards, she is actually a solid actress and it was obvious already after 2 mins. In her case, it was even more remarkable as her character was actually so completely half-baked but it was pretty neat how much she managed to do with such rather abysmal material. Still, it wasn’t enough though and the damned thing was just so convoluted with a whole bunch of twists which barely made sense. For example, it seemed that there was actually a major plot-hole with the ending. Indeed, the main character did manage to vindicate his name but, in fact, he actually did kill Carter Heywood, even if it was under duress, so how did he manage to get off the hook for this killing? Anyway, to conclude, it was pretty weak and you should probably avoid it.
