Ironic Mysterious Censoring (of Reviews)

—Rape? People censoring rape? You don’t want to hand in a la-di-da doesn’t matter response to something like that? Down the Memory Hole. (walks away, whistling). 

It’s like…. Wow…. Surely it isn’t rape culture, right, if you’re actual engagement with one of the VERY VERY few Good Films just doesn’t get the Shakespeare Police/Not A Grammatical/Stilted Review…. Just, memory hole treatment, right…. 

(Lord Grantham rage) We do NOT get EMOTIONAL about little things like, rape, in this country! (flings a tea cup against the wall and it smashes) (servants go running around, cleaning) (Grantham adopts a strained smile) It is always important, to be logical. Engagement with this, “rape” issue, as you put it, impedes that progress. Yes, yes, it was a very curious film. I will deposit it in the Memory hole, so that I can always remember, or you know—(lowers voice) Nasty business, women-sympathizers, you know. Like communists. (raises voice) Mother! Mother!
