Review of Portamento

They ‘ve outdone themselves for sure in the new record. it's the sort of album that grows on you. You have to listen to it several times to actually get the album and It's definitely different from their first, however a worth listen. It feels really vulnerable and somehow in the mid of this when they try to pull off the edginess they crash. I can only hope that in the future The Drums will be able to make the transition into a new style with more fluidity and ease.
