A good movie

I always had a somewhat difficult relationship with Francois Ozon. Indeed, even though I enjoyed many of his movies, especially 'Sous le sable', I really hated some others that he made, especially 'Sitcom'. Still, I'm always intrigued by his work and try to check all his movies when I get the chance. Fortunately, this flick turned to be one of his best. Indeed, it is a rather simple tale about a relationship, expect that it starts at the end, at the separation, and goes back in time until they meat each other for the first time. I really enjoyed the directing by Ozon which made the movie quite mesmerizing to watch and both leads, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Stéphane Freiss gave some solid performances. Even though I enjoyed how realistic and human this relationship was portrayed, it was not really mind-blowing though. I mean, it was interesting to play it backwards but it was not much more than 'interesting', I'm afraid. Still, it is a very well made romantic drama and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in French movies.
