An average movie

I have never been a fan of those Fast and Furious flicks but since they have become popular (again) following the release of the 4th installment, I thought I should check this one out as well. To be honest, even though this instalment has a rather lame reputation, it wasn't really better or worse than the previous installments, just the same rather boring stuff. This time, they dropped the whole original cast (except for Vin Diesel but he just had a really small cameo at the end) and it was taking place in Tokyo which was a nice change of scenery. Furthermore, the whole drifting thing was actually pretty neat and reminded me of this game I used to play on the Game Cube called 'Need for Speed: Underground'. Unfortunately, the characters were boring, the plot was ridiculous and it was pretty stupid to make all those high-schools kids driving such expensive rides. Anyway, after this installment, they changed again their strategy, they brought back the original cast and, against all expectations, it was a smashing hit and nowadays, it has become one of the most successful movie franchises ever made which is rather depressing. Anyway, to conclude, it didn't really like this movie and I don't think it is really worth a look, but if you like the genre, there is a big chance you might end up enjoying it more than I did.
