A good movie

Since it is a classic comedy, I had some rather high expectations and it was indeed pretty good but it was still nothing mind-blowing. It is something I noticed witg those 80's classic comedies such as 'The Jerk', 'Animal House', 'Plane, trains and Automobiles', 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' or 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'. Everybody says they are awesome and hilarious but when I watch them, even though I find them rather amusing, I don't find them so funny. I'm a rather difficult concerned comedies, I guess. Anyway, this was still pretty good. You have Bill Murray giving his usual performance full of dry humor and a competent supporting cast (Harold Ramis, Warren Oates, Sean Young, Judge Reinhold, Bill Paxton). Basically, it lampoons the Army, its instutions and rules and pretty much like 'Animal House', it tries to be outrageous but, honestly, it is rather harmless. Of course, Bill Murray is funny and there are some good jokes here and there but it was still nothing mind-blowing, in my opinion. Still, it remains a classic comedy and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
