An average movie

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from the damned thing but since it was starring Bruce Willis, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, unfortunately, as expected, it turned out to be one these countless pathetic direct-to-VOD action flicks the guy made towards the end of his career. As usual, even though Willis was displayed prominently on all the promotional material, he actually played a rather minor role and showed up only for a few scenes. To make things worse, his performance was probably even weaker than usual but I have to admit that there is not much he could do with such material. Anyway, this time, the main character was actually played by Christipher Meloni which would be rather hard to guess by only looking at the poster. The funny thing with this cheap ass direct-to-VOD movies is that David Bautista very often shows up for a really half-baked role but I don't understand why since the guy is or was not at the time really a box-office draw like Bruce Willis. At least, this gang of robbers with their ominous masks was pretty cool and the story was slightly more interesting than what you usually get with this kind of movies. Eventually, it still didn’t work out after all though. Indeed, as long as they managed to keep the viewers in the dark, it was actually almost decent. However, it became increasingly convoluted for no good reasons whatsoever and, at the end, when everything was more or less explained, it was hardly satisfying and even pretty lame. Anyway, to conclude, I think I was actually rather generous with my rating here, the damned thing was really weak and you should probably avoid it, even if you are a huge fan of Bruce Willis.
