Not as good as the original, partly due to the fact that Timothy Olyphant does not reprise the lead role. Also there is a sudden need for blood splatter "on" the screen during most of the fight scenes - probably a nod to the computer game. The ending does leave a third movie possible, but eight years later and there hasn't been one.
Pleasingly the story line is not linear and has several cool twists and turns, but eventually it is irrelevant to the well choreographed fight scenes. Because of the personal nature of The Hitman, the only real thing missing is an extended car chase, but I am grateful for this as it allows more time for the close-up gun katas that I prefer.
