An average movie

When I was a kid, I used to be obsessed with the NBA (even though you couldn't see any matches in France...). So, when I heard there was a movie coming out starring Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway and many other famous players, I really had to see it so I went with my buddies to the theater. Unfortunately, we didn't like it at all. I mean, back then, I was around 14 years old and wanted to see a fun and cool flick with some awesome baskteball scenes but what I got was a very serious thriller with barely any basketball at all. Back then, even though I already loved movies, I didn't know who were Nick Nolte and William Friedkin and I thought the whole thing was rather misleading. Even nowadays when you check the poster, it doesn't represent the movie at all. Maybe I will re-watch it some day to make up my mind for good, who knows. To conclude, you shouldn't watch it for the basketball stars because it is not what the movie is about, what remains is an average thriller which is not really worth a look, I'm afraid.
