An average movie

I find it really difficult to judge this flick... Beforehand, I thought it would be really terrible. I mean, look at the title, look at the poster! It doesn't look or sound really impressive. However, it wasn't bad at all. Of course, the plot is rather idiotic but Reese Witherspoon managed to make this totally obnoxious character rather compelling to watch which is, you have to admit it, quite an achievement. Furthermore, I must admit that the whole thing was rather entertaining to watch. It starts like a train wreck and you first think that the whole thing won't go anywhere but they managed to make the whole thing quite compelling. Of course, it is not Kubrick , you won't learn anything and the day after, you will probably forget the whole thing but Reese Witherspoon is just really charismatic to behold. For her, it was her big breakthrough and her ticket for the A list which she still owns 10 years later. To conclude, it is not really smart at all but it is still entertaining and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
