Review of Through Silver in Blood

Apocalyptic metal at it`s most cerebral and dynamic, this was the album of the band and the year. The esoteric samples, employment of pianos, tribal drumming and keyboards as well as the elephantine song lengths may seem daunting, contrived or overly indulgent to the uninititiated, but it`s testament to the Oakland sextet`s talent the album is so fresh and organic sounding; brooding without being boring.

Definitely the most intense metal release with the words `in Blood` in the title since you-know-what was conceived a decade earlier.
