unexpected gem

interesting. i had no idea what this film was before i watched it. i had no way of expecting what i was in for.

about a girl whose father was a mental patient and comes back to live with her. she feels left out by his lack of care for her when she was a child and is conflicted about caring for him now.
he begins to have fantasies about riches buried beneath a store and she believes he's losing his mind again. the bulk of the story is about their challenged relationship and her coming to terms with loving him and accepting the beauty in his fantasies.

charming and motivating. is it worse to pursue a dream or settle for the normal?
