An average movie

Since I didn’t really like ‘Bad Moms’, I didn’t expect much from this sequel but since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out anyway. To be honest, even if it was maybe not worse than its predecessor, it was certainly not better either. Basically, this time, it took place during Christmas and they also brought up the mothers of the mothers which was obviously supposed to be a really clever concept. Well, from all the characters involved, the only one who was slightly entertaining was the one played by Kathryn Hahn who once again basically stole the show each time she was on the screen. Seriously, even the scenes involving her stripper boyfriend actually worked when they should have been rather cringe-inducing to behold. Anyway, I want to single out one really awful scene though. Indeed, towards the end, Amy (played by Mila Kunis) had a heartfelt conversation with her mother in some church. First of all, shouldn’t they go outside instead of staying in this church fully packed during a Christmas service?!? But, no, what bothered me was the fact that Amy’s mother had been through the whole duration a rather dreadful human being but, then, suddenly, she was forgiven everything because, you know, she is deep down really insecure. In fact, she has always been a great mother. I mean....What?!? This movie constantly argued otherwise and, suddenly, they completely backed down with no solid argument whatsoever because, you know, it was time to wrap this up. Of course, to throw this woman out of her life was too harsh but to completely forgive her was such a bullsh*t move. Anyway, to conclude, the damned thing was pretty lame and you should probably avoid it, except maybe if you really like the genre.
