An average movie

Nowadays, I have Netflix and Popcorn and not only I have since then an endless selection of movies to choose from but, as a result, I have become slightly more picky regarding the movies I watch. Before, I used to watch pretty much anything as long as it was starring one or two actors I was interested in and, as a result, I would sometimes end up watching some really obscure features. This movie was a perfect example. First of all, even though Debra Messing had a successful career on TV-show above all with 'Will and Grace', she never really managed to breakthrough on the big screen and, among the few movies she made, this flick was probably the best thing she has done so far. Basically, it was really similar to 'Pretty Woman' as it was dealing with prostitution but still removing all the darkness involved in this profession. Eventually, what I liked about this movie was the two main characters. Indeed, even though they were terribly stereotypical, they were still both quite charming and there was some good chemistry between Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney. It is too bad the makers didn't dare to push the whole thing even further concerning the personality of this male escort. Instead, they remained in the boundaries of this genre and they just followed the old formula followed by most of the romantic-comedies. Still, even though it was not really original and completely predictable, it was a well made and enjoyable romantic-comedy and it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
