A good movie

Since I kept hearing good things about this flick, I was really eager to watch it and I had some rather high expectations. Eventually, pretty much like 'High Fidelity', even though I liked it, I can't say I was blown away. I mean, you have a pretty cool cast (John Cusack, Minnie Driver, Alan Arkin, Dan Aykroyd, Joan Cusack, Hank Azaria, Jeremy Piven) and they all delivered some decent performances (Joan Cusack was just hilarious for example) and the whole concept was pretty neat (a hitman goes to his high-school reunion). I don't know, maybe it was too 'nice' for me, in the sense that there is nothing much at stake except having a few laughs. Still, John Cusack was born to play such characters and he was just pitch-perfect and the whole thing was really fun to watch. To conclude, I'm not sure if it deserves its cult-classic status but it remains an original and entertaining dark comedy and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you want to see something good starring John Cusack.
