Thale (2012)
I really loved this film. It wasn't what I expected, since it wasn't really a horror flick, more like a fantasy/thriller, mixed with some awkward & darkly comedic moments.
The acting is surprisingly good, especially since the actors haven't been in that many movies. One of the main characters is intentionally very unemotional, which makes some of the scenes really awkward & funny.
My only problem, is that the film was too short. It introduces a lot of interesting elements to the story, but it doesn't have time enough to fully explain them. It also doesn't feel like that much is happening and it doesn't really have a huge climax, but I'll take it as a movie that's there to establish some of the mythos to the character of Thale and her species.
It might not appeal to everyone, since it's a very "Norwegian" film, and it doesn't contain that much action.
I really hope there's going to be sequels to this, to continue this very interesting story!
