I honestly don't know how the best movie won with the best competitors. It is about a girl who meets a boy on the Internet, but they cannot have a relationship because his family discriminates against him for being black, when she is mulatto. The racial issue is something very exaggerated in the film because we are in the 21st century and the DR is a country of mulattoes. What bothers the most is its direction: almost all the scenes are made up of a single shot, sometimes poorly framed and out of focus. It is quite awkward to know what happens if the camera is in one place. That is why its assembly and editing are too basic. This is to be expected in an independent amateur film, but it is not the case. Another serious problem is that the song that won in its category was not original and only comes out once while another is repeated a lot. The best thing about the film is its realistic renderings, they don't go overboard and they feel natural. This film seems to be more directed for television than the rest of the nominees.
