An average movie

I always had a weak spot for the late Brittany Murphy. Here, she worked with Dakota Fanning, one of the most talented young actresses back then. So, the leads were really interesting but how was the movie itself? Not so good, I'm afraid... Murphy is effortlessly charming, as usual, but the plot was so predictable and, honestly, rather moronic. I mean, it is one of those movies where one of the characters (in this case, Dakota Fanning) starts as complitely obnoxious but magically, at the end, they become someone completely diffferent who happens to be rather likeable. How convenient! I know it is something inherent to the genre but I find this just really annoying and not really entertaining.To conclude, even though both actresses do their best, I was really bored here and the whole thing is not really worth a look, expect maybe for very young girls who may end up enjoying it more than I did.
