The game's greatest flaw is the battle theme Eternity, from an otherwise awesome soundtrack. If listening to this song while you battle hundreds of times doesn't deter you, the childishly cute Marumaro may not be your style. Blue Dragon is about a 50 hour game, and isn't too gratifying story-wise for adults because it's a game aimed towards younger people, and the plot isn't great enough to have as broad of an appeal as a game like Earthbound. The game's mechanics are great, but fighting through the blue dragons your characters summon wasn't too involving because of the limited number of moves and animations. Techincal aspects like the fighting menu and non-random encounters are perfect. Blue Dragon is pretty fun and innovative, but it isn't a memorable enough experience to be recommended.
