Wow...
Watched the movie last night and felt nostalgic, I'm not really into Kevin Smith's films (I've seen Clerks 2, JASBSB, Dogma, Yoga Hosers, Jersey Girl, Zack and Miri... and I think thats about it.. lol not a hardcore fan at least!) but his iconic characters Jay and Silent Bob will always get a laugh out of me!
PROS: Jay and Silent Bob are at it again!
CONS: Kev's nepotism is showing with his daughter Harley Quinn; she's very pretty, but acting wise? Hard NO.. also Mews kid is in this for no damn reason... smh
Kevin's celebrity friends are annoying. Like yay, for cameos and fangirl moments, but they're so shoved up my ass and throat that, its a little boring to see.. especially Ben Affleck (yes, i know he's been a star in Kevin's movies, but Ben is a shit actor..)
Not enough homage! Wasted so much time with the dumb story/plot (even though it's literally a reboot of Strike Back!) and shitty dialogue... sigh... shoulda coulda woulda..
New characters... dont no one care about them..
annnd lastly... the man himself; Kevin Smith.
is he supposed to be a whackjob in this View Askewniverse? Played out for laughs my butt! And even givin his kid dialogue like "FUCK KEVIN SMITH" or "HE FORCES HIS DAUGHTER IN EVERYTHING" blah blah blah.. Kevin.. stop it.
You know what? his dialogue is so corny. The script must have been written by an edgy 14 year old and not by a grown ass man right? Literal CUM and DICK jokes all around! not funny, didnt giggle.
all in all, I really do like this film, its nice to see everyone and it brought a lot of smiles to my face in some moments. Theres a lot of detail I would like to go into but for now this is my review.. go see it if you want!
The end credits are the only cool thing such as: the return of the lil boys from Strike Back (2001!) and Stan Lee
Jay and Silent Bob everyone!
