An average movie

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Olivia Munn and Freida Pinto and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, eventually, I have to admit that it was actually not bad at all after all. Indeed, Sam Claflin and Olivia Munn had some nice chemistry together and there were a couple of supporting characters who worked very well as well. I was above all impressed by Eleanor Tomlinson who could have been Sophie Turner'sย big sister. I had never noticed this actress before (even though I had apparently already saw a few of her movies) but she was pretty much pitch-perfect here. Unfortunately, not all the supporting characters were entertaining though, for example, Sidney was never funny at all. I also wish they develop a little bit more Freida Pinto's character as it was nice to see her doing something completely different but she wasn't give enough running time. Concerning the gimmick of repeating the wedding, well, even if it wasn't the worst gimmick I have seen in a romantic-comedy, it was still rather useless, I'm afraid. It's too bad because focusing on the randomness of life and how it might affect our love life was actually an interesting idea but repeating a 3rd of the movie wasn't the strongest way to develop this concept. Anyway, to conclude, even if it was nothing really original, it was still a decent romantic-comedy and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
