An average movie

Since I'm a huge fan of 'Cube', I was really eager to watch this flick also directed by Vincenzo Natali. One again, it was a SF thriller but this time, they have added some industrial espionage to the mix. It was definitely an interesting combo and the beginning was indeed rather spellbinding. Indeed, they managed to create a fascinating world and I was never sure what was real and what I should believe. However, at some point, they tried to rationalize the whole thing, to explain what's going on and that's when they really lost me. Indeed, if the beginning was intriguing, the ending was messy, rather boring and far from being satisfactory. To be honest, I'm not sure if we should blame Jeremy Northam who gave a decent performance. Eventually, even though it really had some potential, the whole thing was eventually rather disappointing. To conclude, in my opinion, in spite its flaws, it remains an interesting SF flick and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you loved 'Cube' like I did.
