Well this is the first movie with a story by Edgar Rice Burroughs that I've watched. I'm not much into his style but this one wasn't too bad. The first 30 minutes were actually pretty awesome and a couple scene's were even suspenseful. The movie kind of fell apart for me when the people reach the Island though. I'm use to seeing bad effects but some of these puppets looked pretty cheap, with rubber teeth and birds that have tons of wires holding them up and such. The movie isn't subtle at all about introducing these "monsters" either and that loses a bit of thrill for me as well. I only paid $2 for this movie and it is worth a watch for sure but overall it isn't something I'll probably watch again any time soon.
