If you own the Merzbox, or a lot of his earlier releases, than don't bother with this set. There's a lot of his earlier albums I don't like at all mainly because he just loops a 5-10 second sounds over light feedback. I'd hardly call that ambient...or noise for that matter. I'm also betting that you will hear a lot of the same sounds on this boxset as you would on his earlier official releases during the 80's. He likes to reuse his own sounds a lot. Also, Masami was experimenting with sounds and sampling his favorite rock n' roll records and that's what this sounds like, experimental music. This set should have been called ExperiMerzal, or some shit like that.
