An average movie

To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, first of all, I was instantly reminded of 'Seven' with its omnipotent serial-killer who knows everything and it made sense as this movie was, at some point, supposed to be a sequel to David Fincher's classic movie. At least, the big difference with 'Seven' was that, this time around, you actually find out why the killer knows so much and can predict pretty much anything. Anyway, even if the story was nothing really amazing, I guess it was entertaining enough and I did like the way they managed to show show Anthony Hopkins's character might see things that have or will happen. Still, I think it was a huge mistake to show Colin Farrell everywhere on the promotional material and also during the movie. Seriously, can you imagine if they would have done the same thing with Kevin Spacey in 'Seven'?ย  Concerning the cast, they were all decent enough, except for Abbie Cornish though. Indeed, even if she was as usual really cute and charming, I'll give you that, her performance was pretty weak and not convincing whatsoever. Anyway, to conclude, I guess my rating might be generous here, but it was not bad and I think it might be worth a look, at least, if you really like the genre.ย
