Review of House of Wax

One of my favourite Vincent Price films and it has a lot to do with the atmosphere of this movie. There is a lot of dark tone with the man creeping around at night all the time. It has a good moving storyline and the ending is good as well. Oddly, this movie is a remake of one that came out in 1933 called Mystery of the Wax Museum. A very cool thing in this movie that isn't related to the story at all is this man with two paddle balls that does some amazing tricks! They pretty much just added him in this film because it was in 3D and he hits the balls towards the screen a lot.

This is an off topic comment but if you have ever watched this movie and Darkman you will notice how similar the Darkman character is with the character Henry Jarrod in this movie. They have a good life, get burned, put on fake faces, and move around in the night with a dark cloak. I'm not saying it's a complete copy but I think Sam Raimi had some influence while watching this movie for his Darkman.
