Review of House On Haunted Hill

A true classic in every way! This was one of the very first Vincent Price movies I viewed and it was on a whim while at a video store. Ever since then I became a hugh b-movie and classic horror fan. The whole idea is pretty original for its time and it's a short film but I like it like that because it doesn't need to be any longer and it keeps the pace moving good. All the acting is pretty top notch and Vincent does one hell of a job playing the mysterious playboy. He has some great lines in this film and I laugh every time he says them. Example; "Don't stay up thinking of ways to get rid of me, it makes wrinkles." Another great one is; "What husband hasn't, at some time, wanted to kill his wife?" I can think of a lot that haven't Mr. Loren. I want to rate this film a 5/5 but some of it is pretty corny. I will say that I have viewed this film far to many times to count and I love it dearly. If your going to start watch Vincent Price films, start with this one.
