Review of The Tingler

Yeah, the ultimate gag movie. FILMED IN PERCEPTO! Technically that doesn't even exsist but William Castle was great at selling his movies with new ideas and this movie was a classic for it. Seats would buzz during certain scenes and sometimes a paid member would faint during the climax and a fake ambulance team would run in the theater to grab her out. The movie itself even has a moment when the "Tingler" gets loose in the theater and the movie goes all dark with the audience screaming and my guess is is that the audience watching the film during this probably did the same thing. The climax of this movie is very effective as it is all filmed in black & white except for the blood, and it actually got my heart rate up a bit when I first saw it and thought it was so damn cool. So many good one-liners that Vincent drops in on his cheating wife too...lol. This movie also contains a cool fact. It was the first movie to have displayed someone taking LSD, which was Vincent Price played as Dr. Warren Chapin. One of those movies where I wish I was able to watch when it first came out on the big screen and it will always be a favourite of mine.
