An average movie

To be honest, I had no idea what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved and since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, eventually, I'm afraid the damned thing turned out to be even weaker than I expected. Seriously, pretty much nothing worked in this flick. I mean, the plot was just terribly generic and boring and all the cast involved (Milla Jovovich, Pierce Brosnan, Dylan McDermott, Robert Forster, Angela Bassett) gave some rather weak performances, except maybe Pierce Brosnan. Indeed, the only fun thing with this flick was to see Brosnan playing the bad guy for once and he was maybe the only convincing actor but his character was still terribly bland and underwritten. On the other hand, even though Milla Jovovich still looks quite gorgeous, I was rather surprised by how weak she was but, when I think about it, did she ever really impressed me with her acting skills? Concerning James McTeigue, well, the only  thing impressive about his directing career is that each new movie he has delivered so far has managed to be weaker than his previous one and this flick turned out to be an all-time low. Anyway, to conclude, I think I was actually rather generous with my rating here, the damned thing was just seriously weak and I don't think it is worth a look at all.
