An average movie

To be honest, this movie rather seemed to be some excuse to see some naked girls but, somehow, I still ended up watching the damned thing. Well, first of all, it actually turned out to be surprisingly tame after all. I mean, sure, you still get to see two beautiful girls completely naked through the whole duration but there were only maybe 3 rather short sex scenes after all. So, what did they do the whole night then in this apartment? Well, they spent their time talking and, suddenly, it became a rather minimalist romantic piece involving only one location and two characters. Unfortunately, even if I have a weak spot for the genre, the end-result was rather half-baked. I mean, it wasn’t necessarily a bad idea that they didn’t spend the whole movie having some great sex but their conversations were not really interesting, I’m afraid. As a result, it actually reminded me of ‘Before Sunrise’ but, to be honest, this movie never achieved the level of this classic. Indeed, with such a simple set-up, you need some amazing dialogues because, well, there is nothing else going on. However, here, they tried to go for a mix of realism and fantasy but it never really worked. For example, right from the start, they confessed that they might not be telling the truth and, sure, I understand that it might be interesting to pretend to be someone completely different to a stranger but, by confessing that they might be lying, this idea was then completely ruined. Furthermore, the fact that, at some point, they started to be honest after all made the whole thing also unnecessary messy and confusing. And, yet, in spite of its flaws, there was still something quite spellbinding about the damned thing (the fact that Elena Anaya and Natasha Yarovenko were both quite gorgeous probably helped) and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
