A good movie

Since this movie has a really solid reputation (it is even included in '1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die' list), I was really eager to check it out and I had some rather high expectations. Well, eventually, it turned out to be a decent stoner comedy but definitely not the best I have seen and, in this genre, I actually  enjoyed much more 'Friday' and 'Pineapple Express'. I mean, I didn't mind the randomness, it obviously goes with the territory, the main issue was above all the fact that the jokes were just so hit-and-miss. However, I have to admit that some of the scenes were indeed quite hilarious but, to be honest, many jokes were actually barely amusing. Furthermore, the whole concept of the truck made of weed was a rather weak idea and I think it would have been more fun to have these two stoners endlessly looking for some weed and getting in trouble in the process. On top of that, I had a rather hard time to care about these 2 guys. Indeed, Cheech and Chong were not bad but not really amazing and the supporting characters were even less entertaining. Anyway, to conclude, even though it didn't live up to my expectations, it was still a decent comedy and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
