An average movie

To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie but since I have a weak spot for Simon Pegg, I though I might as well check it out. Well, even though it didn't turn out to be anything really amazing, I thought it was actually a decent watch. Basically, the only real issue with this movie was that the way the 2 main characters met each other was just too convoluted in spite of some strong efforts from Simon Pegg and Lake Bell. Eventually, I wish they simply met on a typical blind date but it seems that you can't have nowadays a romantic-comedy without getting served a rather far-fetched concept. Still, Pegg and Bell were both actually pretty good and they had some very nice chemistry together so, thanks for them, the whole thing still actually worked. Concerning Lake Bell, you might wonder why they would cast an American actress to play a British character but I thought she was actually quite convincing, even though I'm not an expert on English accents. Anyway, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, it was still a decent romantic-comedy and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
