Review of Ready Player One

Seen on theaters today.

Yes, it is the terrible slap that was expected while fearing of being disappointed.

Finally a blockbuster at once smart, thoughtful and colossal. We must go back to "Avatar" to find such a "cinephagic" pleasure, this type of rare joy that reconciles me with US blockbusters. Especially the multiple and funny references to the 80's (great time for men like me).

Finally, a brilliant film about the dangers of the enslavement of the masses by the technology, which uses this at the service of the story and not the other way around.

This good old Spielby, a little too quickly forgotten or even buried by the critics, kicks in the ass as well to his detractors as the bad movies of super-h(z)eros made in Marvel or DC Comics of these last years (except the successful "Logan") and other catastrophic derivatives without soul (fu.... Star Wars, the big dissapointment of this century).

At the age of 71 years, he goes forward, right ahead, and leaves behind him all the others.

What to do again after "Ready Player One"? Maybe wait for "Avatar 2"?

Steven still the best!
