I wasn't really expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Nicole Kidman, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, as I expected, it wasn't really good, I'm afraid. First of all, even though Nicole Kidman did try, I never thought I was actually watching Grace Kelly on the screen and she never really disappeared behind this icon. However, a bigger problem was that it was such a boring story. I mean, I have to admit that, even though Kelly was really gorgeous, I was never really convinced by her potential as an actress which was reinforced by the fact that she had made only a dozen of movies. Well, her life as Princess of Monaco seemed even more dull and I really had a hard time to care about her supposedly difficult life as a royal figure. I mean, to make us believe that she might have had any impact on the political life in Monaco was rather pathetic and ridiculous and her romance or lack of it with Rainier was just as tedious. To conclude, I don't think the damned thing really had any potential and I don't think it is really worth a look, except maybe if you think that Grace Kelly was a fascinating woman.
