When the pilot began, and I saw it was set during a surgery, I groaned and thought, "not another medical drama". But, as the show progressed, and there was very soon an unexplained event in the main character's life, I was intrigued, and most definitely, much happier that this show wasn't about some egotistical jerk of a surgeon.
It's about much more than that, and after watching the first two episodes, I am hooked and definitely cannot wait to see where the show goes, or how the main character grows and develops as the show progresses. Patrick Wilson does an excellent job, and Julie Benz is also on the show as his sister (in a so far lesser role, but hopefully we see more of her).
